Coming Home: Our Third Event — Mercado Urbano in Humacao

There's something different about showing up in your own hometown.

Our third official event as Serendipia Simple Crafts was also our first time at the Mercado Urbano en la Plaza del Recreo de Humacao on March 27, 2026 — and it felt like a milestone unlike any other. Not just because of the crowd, or the energy, or the beautiful plaza setting. But because we were home. In Humacao. Our hometown.

An Invitation That Meant Everything

This wasn't just any event. We were personally invited by the Office of Culture and Tourism of Humacao Municipality (Oficina de Cultura y Turismo del Municipio de Humacao) to participate alongside the local merchants who are a regular part of this community market.

That invitation meant the world to us. It was a signal that Serendipia Simple Crafts was being seen — not just as a small hobby, but as a real local business worthy of a seat at the table alongside the artisans and entrepreneurs of our community.

We weren't just vendors. We were becoming part of something bigger.

A More Diverse, More Real Crowd

This event felt different from the start. The crowd was larger, more diverse — families, locals, visitors — all moving through the plaza with that wonderful weekend energy that only a public market can create.

And the response to our products? Overwhelming in the best way.

People stopped. They touched the fabrics. They admired the prints. They smiled. And they told us — genuinely, enthusiastically — how much they loved everything. That kind of reaction, that authentic enthusiasm you can see in someone's eyes when they truly love something, is something you can never manufacture. It has to be earned.

We earned it that day. 🥹

More Than Promotion — A Reaffirmation

Yes, we promoted the brand. Yes, we connected with new people. But what we took home that day was something far more valuable than any sale.

We took home confidence. We took home pride. And we took home a deeper understanding of what it truly means to be an entrepreneur with a real business — the joy, the responsibility, the seriousness of showing up and delivering something meaningful to your community.

Every person who stopped at our table reminded us why we started. Every smile reaffirmed that what we're building with Serendipia Simple Crafts is real, it matters, and it belongs here.

Humacao, We're Just Getting Started

Being part of the Mercado Urbano wasn't just an event — it was a statement. Serendipia Simple Crafts is here, we're local, we're proud, and we're not going anywhere.

To everyone who stopped by, admired our work, and shared their kind words — thank you. You fuel everything we do. 🇵🇷✨
