March 28, 2026. Our fourth official event — and our first time taking Serendipia Simple Crafts beyond our hometown.
This time, we packed up our bags and headed to Caguas, where the Caguas Pop-Up Market was hosting vendors at the Cervecería FOK. A new company, a new city, a new audience. And as it turned out — a very new weather situation. 🌧️

A Professional Experience from the Start
Working with Caguas Pop-Up Market was a great experience. The organization was professional, the setup was smooth, and the venue at Cervecería FOK had a really cool, vibrant energy that matched our brand perfectly.
It felt good to be part of something well-run — the kind of event where you show up and feel like you're in good hands. That professionalism made a difference, especially as we were navigating a new market outside of our comfort zone.
Then It Rained. A Lot.
We won't sugarcoat it — the weather did not cooperate. It rained incredibly hard that day. The kind of rain that makes you question every life decision. 😂
But here's the thing about being an entrepreneur: you show up anyway. And we did.
Despite the downpour, the event carried on. People came. We showed our products to a brand new audience in a brand new city, expanding the reach of Serendipia Simple Crafts beyond Humacao for the very first time.
New City, New Consumers
That's what made this event so valuable — not just the sales or the exposure, but the fact that people in Caguas now know about Serendipia Simple Crafts. Our handmade bags, our colorful prints, our Puerto Rican story — all of it reached a new community that day.
Every new face at our table is a potential lifelong customer. And that's worth a little rain.
What the Rain Taught Us
Every event teaches you something. This one taught us about planning for the unexpected.
Weather, logistics, the unpredictable nature of outdoor markets — these are all part of the entrepreneurial journey. And now we know: we need a rain plan. Covers, weights, waterproof packaging, a backup setup. The lessons you learn in the field are the ones that stick.
We left Caguas a little damp, but a lot wiser. And honestly? We wouldn't trade that experience for anything.
Onward
Rain and all, this was a win. We stepped outside our hometown, showed up professionally, reached new people, and came home with lessons that will make every future event better.
That's what growth looks like. 🇵🇷✨
