There's something truly special about setting up our table at a local market and watching people discover Serendipia Simple Crafts for the first time. Starting April 11, 2026, we had the joy of being part of the Palmas Farmers Market — one of our favorite community events in Puerto Rico — and we kept coming back for more.
From the moment we arrived, the energy was vibrant. Families, neighbors, and visitors strolled through the market, and our colorful handmade bags never failed to catch an eye. Every print tells a story, and at markets like this one, we get to share those stories face to face — which is something no online shop can fully replicate.
We brought our latest small-batch collection: tote bags in bold African and floral prints, pouches perfect for everyday carry, and a few keychain holders that flew off the table. It was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do — creating bags that are not just functional, but meaningful.
Three Markets, One Community
Our Palmas Farmers Market journey became a series of three unforgettable events:
🗓️ April 11, 2026 — Our First Time at Palmas (5th Official Event)
At this first event, we had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer and Natalia, two wonderful members of the Palmas Farmers Market organization. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us warmly and walked us through everything we needed to know — how the event worked, where to set up, what to expect. Their kindness and professionalism made our first time with them feel smooth and supported, and we are truly grateful for that welcome. Thank you, Jennifer and Natalia! 🤍
This market also brought many new faces discovering Serendipia Simple Crafts for the very first time — and the most special visit of the day was from part of my family, who came to cheer us on. More on that below. ❤️

🗓️ April 25, 2026 — Back by Popular Demand (6th Official Event)
Our second visit to Palmas was just as incredible — if not more. Local families and tourists alike kept coming, admiring our products with genuine enthusiasm and taking home little handmade gifts made with intention for their loved ones. Seeing someone carefully choose a bag as a gift — knowing it was made by hand, in small batches, with love — is one of the most rewarding feelings as a maker.
What we love most about the Palmas Farmers Market is the spirit of camaraderie that fills the space. Fellow entrepreneurs, artisans, and vendors — both local to Palmas del Mar and from across the Island — create an environment where everyone lifts each other up. Word of mouth travels fast in a community like this, and being part of that network has been invaluable for growing the Serendipia Simple Crafts name. 🤝

🗓️ May 9, 2026 — Mother's Day Market at Palmas (7th Official Event)
Our third visit to Palmas fell on the most perfect occasion — Mother's Day weekend. And the energy was absolutely magical. 🌸
Tourists and locals arrived with purpose — looking for something meaningful, something handmade, something that would make their mom feel truly special. Our bags, pouches, and accessories became the perfect gift: made with intention, crafted in limited quantities, and carrying the warmth of Puerto Rico in every stitch.
Watching people light up as they found the perfect piece for their mother — that's why we do this. Every bag that left our table that day carried a little piece of Serendipia Simple Crafts into someone's most cherished celebration.
Our Biggest Cheerleaders: Family ❤️
At our first Palmas market, we also received the most special visit of the day — part of my family came to show their support.
They're the ones who sometimes look at me with that loving mix of admiration and "she's a little crazy — in the best way" — and yet they have been one of my biggest pillars throughout this entire entrepreneurial journey. They've cheered me on from day one, believed in the vision when it was just an idea, and even served as my very first guinea pigs and models for my earliest projects. 😂
Having them walk through that market, see the table, see the people stopping and admiring the bags — and knowing they were part of how this all started — was one of the most meaningful moments of this journey so far.

And beyond that — there is nothing more gratifying as an entrepreneur and as a mom than having your children by your side in what you do. I am deeply grateful to my kids for helping me and believing in me every step of the way. To my husband, thank you for supporting me unconditionally in every "crazy idea" that comes to mind — your belief in me means everything. 💙
And a very special recognition goes to my son Sebastián, whose contribution to Serendipia Simple Crafts goes far beyond showing up. Sebastián helps at every single market — handling logistics, cutting materials, and preparing everything needed so that our products are always ready and available for you. His dedication behind the scenes is what makes the magic in front of the table possible. Thank you, Sebastián. We couldn't do this without you. 🤍❤️

Family is the heart behind the brand. ❤️
Products With Purpose
One of the highlights of these markets was the incredible response to our reversible tote bags — made with eco-friendly materials and vibrant, eye-catching colors. Functional, sustainable, and beautiful. That's the Serendipia Simple Crafts promise.
These aren't just bags. They're a conscious choice — for the planet, for your style, and for supporting handmade artisan work right here in Puerto Rico.
A Souvenir Worth Taking Home
Something magical happened at these markets that we didn't fully anticipate: tourists. Palmas del Mar attracts visitors from all over, and many of them found their way to our table.
Watching someone from another country pick up one of our handmade bags and say "this is going home with me as a souvenir from Puerto Rico" — that's a feeling we can't describe. Our pieces became little ambassadors of Puerto Rico, traveling the world in someone's hands.
And what makes them even more special? Every single piece is made in limited quantities — usually 1 to 3 similar products, but never identical. That means every bag is truly one of a kind. Exclusive by design. A piece of Serendipia Simple Crafts that no one else will have exactly like yours.
If you missed us at Palmas, don't worry — our full collection is always available online. Each bag is handmade in small batches right here in Humacao, Puerto Rico, so when they're gone, they're gone!
